The story behind Ingressible.
This is my story: how losing sight became a different way of seeing, and how beauty carried that turning point forward.

I Found Beauty In My Storm
Compassion and empathy have always been at the heart of who I am. I have watched people close to me silently struggle with feeling unseen, and it has shaped how I see the world. I want people to feel understood and valued for their perspective, with room to discover what is possible for themselves.
During my sophomore year of college, an infection affected my sight. Over three consecutive years, I experienced blindness in one eye at a time, two years in my left eye and one in my right. Losing sight in one eye changed my perspective on life and disability. I lost my depth perception, the world appeared different, and I bumped into things that had once been easy to navigate. It affected me greatly.
At my lowest point, I found beauty.
Makeup became a way for me to explore and reconnect with myself. Fragrance became my absolute comfort. I was partially blind, but I always smelled good.
I found beauty in my storm.
I am no longer partially blind. I am doing great, and I want to help others. That chapter is part of the bigger picture that made me who I am today.
My commitment to accessibility has grown through work across enterprise, state and federal government, digital experiences, and product testing. I enjoy helping people understand accessibility in a way they can actually use. There is something lovely about watching someone become more confident, ask their own questions, and take what they have learned a little further.
I love watching a mind open to new possibilities and seeing someone discover more of their potential. It is truly beautiful.
That same passion is why I founded Ingressible. And beauty? That is where my heart is.
I want anyone who has ever felt unseen or unrepresented because of their abilities or capabilities to feel valued as a consumer, a hobbyist, a professional, or simply as themselves.
I want someone to be able to visit a beauty store, explore a fragrance, open a lip gloss, dispense their favorite lotion, or choose a makeup shade online without an overlooked barrier deciding the experience for them. There is joy in these little moments: finding a scent you cannot stop smelling, playing with a new color, or reaching for an old favorite just because it makes you feel good. I want more people to have that freedom.
Through Ingressible, I help brands preserve what makes their vision special while expanding who can meaningfully experience it. I bring compassion, professional testing, and a genuine love of beauty to that work. I want to understand what a brand hopes people will experience and help make more room for people within that vision.
My goal is for everyone to have access, no matter the barrier, because it is the most beautiful thing to have.
Preserving the vision. Expanding the experience.
